RESULTS - USATF Niagara 5 km Championships

Results

The 2021 USATF Niagara Association 5 km Championships were held on Friday, September 3 as part of the Tom Donnelly's Hall of Fame 5K.

The open champions were Peter Rindfuss, 23, of Hamburg and Sarah Danner, 28, of Gowanda. The top men's and women's masters performance, based on age-grade scoring, were turned in by John McMahon, 55, of Williamsville and Amy Fakterowitz, 53, of Williamsville.

In the men's race Rindfuss ran 14:49 to edge William Hilbert, 23, of Buffalo by three seconds. Steven Haagsma, 28, of Gowanda
also broke 15 minutes as he crossed the line in 14:56 for third place. Rindfuss and Haagsma led the Bergen Elite to the team title over Checkers AC; 45:00 to 46:01.

In the women's race Danner stopped the clock at 17:39 for the victory. Aileen Hoak-Lange, 38, of Glenwood finished second running 17:52 with Jennifer Boerner, 38 of Clarks Summit, PA rouding out the top three with a time of 18:15.
