Tully's Brooke Rauber named Gatorade New York Girls Track & Field Player of the Year

Brooke Rauber
(Tully, NY, Tully High School) has been named the
2021 Gatorade New York Girls Track & Field Player of the Year
.
The 5-foot-5 senior won four individual championships at the Section 3 championships this past season. Her season-best time of 6:45.53 in the steeplechase ranked as the nation’s No. 2 performance among prep girls competitors in 2021. Rauber also clocked the nation’s No. 4 time in the 5000m (16:32.62), No. 5 in the 1500m (4:24.34) and No. 6 in the 3000m (9:38.89).
Rauber previously won the Player of the Year award this past fall in cross country.
Rauber has maintained an A average in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend and compete for North Carolina State University this fall.
Rauber has volunteered locally on behalf of the Friendly Acres 4-H Club, Helping Hounds Dog Rescue and youth running programs.
