Huddle sets U.S. half marathon record

Elmira native Molly Huddle ran 1:07:25 this morning (14-Jan) at the Aramco Houston Half Marathon. The time established a new U.S. record breaking the previous mark of 1:07:34 set by Deena Kastor in 2006.

According to FloTrack, Huddle's en route splits unofficially broke the U.S. records for 10 miles and 20 km in 50:52 and 1:03:48, respectively.  The official records were both set in 2006 by Deena Kastor (51:31 and 1:04:07).
