SCORING/RULES

Eligibility

All scoring members on a club must be a current 2021 USATF Niagara Member and their club affiliation must be attached to the club they will be scoring for prior to the event
All clubs must be a current 2021 USATF Niagara Club

# of scorers at each championship

4 mile - 3 for open men, 3 for open women, 3 for masters men, 3 for masters women
Mountain - 3 for open men, 3 for open women, 3 for masters men, 3 for masters women
5 km - 3 for open men, 3 for open women, 3 for masters men, 3 for masters women
Half Marathon Trail - 3 for open men, 3 for open women, 3 for masters men, 3 for masters women
Cross Country - 5 for open men, 5 for open women, 5 for masters men, 5 for masters women

Team declarations at each championship

XC Championships: Open Teams will have to declare
For all other Niagara Championships - No Team declaration is required but if a Master runner wants score on an open team that must be indicated at least 3 days prior to the event by contacting the LDR chair.
Grand Prix Club Scoring is listed below

SCORING

Open

At each championship, each club may score 1 team in the Club Grand Prix (example if a club has an “A” and “B” team at the XC Championships only 1 of the teams will qualify for the Grand Prix scoring)
Men & Women will score for clubs separately (no mix teams)
Team Scoring will be based on accumulative time expect for XC which will be based on placing.

Masters

Masters team scoring will be based on age grading. The clubs best age graded runners will make up the teams scoring members. Teams then will be ranked, the team with the highest age grading average will receive first place points for the series and so on.

All

If a club member leaves a certain club to join another club the “90 Day Rule is in effect where that member is not allowed to score for his or her new club in a USATF Association or National Championship for 90 Days”

1st 14pts, 2nd 9pts, 3rd 5pts, 4th 3pts, 5th 1pt

(Races that score 3 runners)
1st 6pts, 2nd 4pts, 3rd 3pts, 4th 2pts, 5th 1pt
