Genesee Valley Harriers Earn Three Team Podium Finishes at Masters 10 km Championships

The
Genesee Valley Harriers
delivered a standout performance for USATF Niagara on the national stage, capturing three third-place team finishes at the
USATF Masters 10 km Championships
, held Sunday (26-April) in conjunction with the James Joyce Ramble in Deham, Mass.
Leading the way was a trio of podium efforts in the men’s 50+, men’s 60+, and women’s 60+ team competitions, showcasing the club’s depth and consistency across age divisions.
In the men’s 50+ division, the Harriers secured third place with a combined time of 1:55:30.
Andy Wooding
(7th 55–59) led the squad in 37:36, followed closely by
Joshua Harter
(6th, 50–54, 38:03) and
Joshua Williams
(7th, 50–54, 39:51).
The momentum continued in the men’s 60+ division, where the Harriers again claimed third place, finishing in cumulative team time of 2:02:12.
Mike Nier
paced the team with a strong 4th-place effort in the 60–64 age group stopping the clock at 38:24, while
Michael Mertens
(10th, 60–64, 40:49) and
Mark Assini
(4th, 65–69, 42:59) completed the scoring trio.
On the women’s side, the Genesee Valley Harriers added a third podium finish in the 60+ team competition.
Bonnie Lindblom
led the team's effort as she placed 9th in the 60-64 division running 48:49.
Sandra Gregorich
(11th 60-64) and
Carol Reif
(12th 60-64) rounded out the team scoring running 50:18 and 51:44, respectively.
